”Lo strano caso del Dr.Jekyll e del Sig.Hyde” di R.L.Stevenson racconta la storia di uno scienziato, che per seguire la sua sete di conoscenza ha creato una droga capace di dividere l’uomo in due entità separate: una buona e una cattiva (descritte in maniera stereotipata).

La domanda che sorge spontanea attualizzando questo romanzo è se sia possibile o meno essere soltanto una persona buona o una cattiva, con questo pretesto è stato scritto questo articolo.

Can I be just a good person?

What do you think about a world where good and evil parts of a man are divided? Is that possible?

In a novel called “The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr.Hyde”, a scientist, focused on positivism and on human progress, tried to divide him in two parts: an evil part and a good part. He discovered a drug that can divide him, but will he be satisfied?

First of all the author of this novel is L.Stevenson, a rich man that decided to live like a bohemian. 

Apart from that, this novel is one of the most important novels related to the duality between good and evil in a man. It’s really focused on the analysis of the evil and the hypocrisy of Victorian society and it reflects about the uselessness of the scientist.

In this duality I based my interest, because also in my life I usually try to follow just my good part, but that’s impossible. I think that a man is doomed to live following his evil side.

I would like to recommend this novel for the people that love the psychological and cryptical texts.
